Working the land along with other jobs is the history of the LeMarr family.
Just like most small family farms
we've had to take on other occupations to make ends
meet. Other full time employment does not relieve us from taking care of the farm though. Nature
takes no time off and we still have to do all the usual farm chores. Crop fields must be worked or
we'll lose them to the weeds and trees, roads must be graded and rocked or the rain will wash them into
gorges big enough to lose a tractor, and equipment must be maintained to do any of the above.

Flying ultralights is another
favorite thing we do.
Owning farmland
affords us the opportunity to have an airstrip where we teach and fly ultralight aircraft. Ultralight
aircraft are the most fun of all the recreational sports we enjoy when we have time from our other jobs and
farm. We love to fly over the countryside and see things from a perspective that only comes from an
open cockpit and slow speed.
Farming and rural living has taught us to
appreciate very simple things in life and Bluegrass music is from very simple stringed instruments like the
guitar, bass, violin, mandolin, banjo and dobro. How much simpler can you get than a gut-bucket made
from a plastic 5-gallon bucket, busted broom handle and a piece of nylon string? Unfortunately
full-time jobs, the farm and ultralight aviation doesn't leave any time left to play an instrument in a
bluegrass band but we love to sit on the front porch swing and listen to recorded bluegrass on the radio or
CD.
God promised
that if we love and obey Him that our childrens' children would prosper and our nation Israel would be as
numerous as the sands of the sea and the stars in heaven. 11 generations of LeMarr's going all the way
back to the French
Huguenots tells me no less! Being evangelical Christians we have a great desire to share our faith
in God and Jesus with you but not if you don't want to know. And even though you may know but don't
agree that's OK, too. Only you can have your relationship with God and Jesus. Besides, if you
read and study God's word, the Bible, and truly love the Lord then we have no doubt you're in good hands!
