I had just entered the outside lateral boundy for Fort Wayne class C
airspace. I stayed below 2000' MSL and had the radio tuned to approach/departure
control for west of active runways at 127.2. I never heard a peep from them.
If I would have thought about it at the time I should have tuned to ATIS on 121.25
to get any special information. Maybe that's why I never heard anything on 127.2.
They might have been handling all approach/departure traffic on another frequency.
If this route had been in my original flightplan I would have done exactly that but
planning in route never seems to have enough time to really think about these details.
