I passed 5 miles southeast of Dyersburg, TN airport on my way to my next fuel stop in Murray, Ky.  I was on the edge of surface class E airspace at 2400 MSL and was constantly scanning for other aircraft since I was passing on the approach end of runway 34.  I also had my radio tuned to CTAF/UNICOM 123.05.
