Welcome to my KIMO Adventure Chronicles!

On August 30, 2000 I embarked on a great ultralight flying adventure to KIMO 2000 Ultralight Nationals in Marshall, MI.  I flew my Flightstar II ultralight trainer from Field of Dreams near Memphis, TN to Brooks Field in Marshall, MI to Middlesboro, KY then back home to Memphis.  The trip took 11 days and covered more than 1300 miles over TN, KY, IN and MI .

With a very rocky (or more accurately watermelon-ally) start, it was not at all clear that I would make it.  But I wouldn't change a thing if I could.   Maybe getting to KIMO on time but nothing else.

All photographs were taken with the new Sony Mavica CD-1000 digital camera.  I think they turned out extremely well even in the hands of an amateur!
